The second we walked in, I knew we had chosen the right hotel! The kids ran straight for the video game machines and started playing. I was in awe of the awesome, retro decor. The theme was a fun, vintage, Nebraska-themed, collection that was way more fun than your typical hotel!
The quirky theme continued into our hotel room too!!
We had a campus view and could see Memorial Stadium. We will for sure be staying here again when we come to Lincoln for Husker games!!
One of the cutest bathrooms I have ever seen!
There was a donut shop across the street and the kids were excited for some delicious treats in the morning!!
The morning was sunny, as you can see by this picture, but not too hot that I couldn’t sit outside on one of their darling patios and enjoy my coffee while the kids played ping pong and fuse-ball.
This was one of the simplest vacations we have ever taken with the kids. And while we were driving home, Aaron and I discussed how fun it was and what a blast the kids had. It was one of those moments where it made me realize that, while I love taking them on huge and exotic trips, they are just as happy going on simple ones like this. Exploring, swimming, eating sweet treats, and of course spending time together is all they really need. I also think the fun, retro theme of the Graduate Hotel contributed to the excitement of the trip.
If you are planning a summer trip and heading to a college town, check out if there is a Graduate Hotel in town. You will love the experience! I am amazed at the amount of detail that has gone into these hotels. And if you are in Nebraska and heading to Lincoln for a trip, I would highly recommend a stay at the Graduate – especially if you are planning a game, campus trip, or event in the Haymarket!!
I hope you all had a great weekend!!
