School starts tomorrow and I am a mix of emotions. One one hand, my babies are another year older and no longer home with me all day. On the other, I am so excited for them to start another year and grow, learn, and have fun. I am sad our fun summer is ending and really going to miss our time together. ,But the kids are so excited and it will be good to get back on a routine around here.
So instead of being sad, I am choosing to celebrate the inevitable. We rocked our summer bucket list, tackled our back to school shopping, and we are ready to get back at it! Evereve, one of my favorite places for my mom-wardrobe, encourages us to treat this like a mini-New Years – or Mom’s New Year! I am going to celebrate this holiday by setting some mini-resolutions for our family: get back on track with meal planning, re-set my workout button, keep the mudroom more organized. Another way I celebrate this back-to-school holiday is by helping co-host a “Bohoo or Yahoo Brunch” – this is always a fun way to get together with other school moms on the first day and toast the new year!
So whether you are sad about the new school year, or can’t wait for it to start, I encourage you to treat it like a Mom’s New Year – celebrate, set some mini-resolutions, and treat yourself!
